In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
TO THE MUSLIMS OF THE WORLD
Al-Salâm `Alaykum wa
Rahmah Allah wa Barakatuh.
As Muslims, we must all be aware of the fact that the only way we
can overcome the dangers that face us is fulfill the reason for our
existence, and that is to call the people of the world to the
worship of Allah alone.
Allah says: “You are
the best of the nations brought forth for humanity. You enjoin what
is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in Allah.” [Sûrah Âl
`Imran: 110]
However, it seems that
the viciousness of the attacks being waged against us today on every
front by the enemies of Islam has confused many would-be reformers
about a matter in which all Muslims should be agreed.
Could anyone have
expected that we would silently and complacently allow these people
to so heinously and recklessly slander our Prophet Muhammad (peace
be upon him), the most honorable of all people and the most noble of
Messengers? Never before have their lies and slanders descended to
such a base level. Yet, the few weak voices that we hear cannot seem
to be able to make up their minds how to respond to the situation.
We must love the
Prophet (peace be upon him) more than we love our selves and our
families. We should not be able to conceive of neglecting our duty
to support and defend him after hearing the vile tings being that
are being said about him.
In order to facilitate
carrying out our Islamic duties of calling people to the worship of
Allah and defending the Prophet (peace be upon him), The
International Committee for the Support of the Final Prophet is
presenting an open letter to the world in support of the Prophet
(peace be upon him) that includes a short biography of his life and
a short introduction to the religion that he brought from his Lord.
It is an open letter
addressed from all of the Muslims of the world, since conveying the
message contained therein is our collective duty. Each of us should
do our part in circulating it and supporting it. Our hearts should
be joined in carrying out this duty of ours throughout the globe.
